Raymond Loewy designed Colonial "New World" Globe is a striking and unusual Plaskon tube radio. Patented in 1933 this radio is early and very different from other novelty radios of the time.

Original knobs.
The fragile Plaskon cabinet and base are in good condition.
The maps painted on the globe are slightly faded in some places.
The equator circle, the knobs and the metal base have been repainted.
Despite these usual minor faults, the radio is still very decorative.
